Unleashing Ideas for Sustainable, Resilient & Inclusive Cities
A national design ideas competition that empowers young architects, engineers, planners, and designers to reimagine India's urban future.

Reimagining India’s Urban Future

India stands at a defining moment in its urban journey. By 2047, over half of its population will live in cities — centres of opportunity and innovation, but also sites of intense environmental, infrastructural, and social challenges.

The Urban Innovation Challenge (UIC) 2026, presented by Municipalika and GGIF, and supported by Ethos Empowers, invites young minds to propose implementable, inclusive, and forward-thinking design ideas to shape India’s cities for a sustainable tomorrow.

The Challenge will culminate at Municipalika 2026, India’s leading expo on safe, smart, and sustainable city solutions, connecting participants with policymakers, industry leaders, and design professionals.

Date :25, 26 & 27 February 2026
Location :Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi
