Urban Innovation Challenge 2026 invites students, young professionals and startups to develop practical, scalable ideas addressing real urban challenges across architecture, planning, engineering, technology and allied disciplines.
This edition introduces a dedicated Startup & Technology Category, along with a special focus on Urban Solutions Using AI — expanding the Challenge into the intersection of cities, innovation and emerging technology.
Designing for Climate & Disaster Preparedness - Ideas addressing climate resilience, disaster preparedness, adaptive infrastructure and risk reduction.
Solutions for resource-efficient, low-carbon and environmentally responsible buildings and urban environments.
